Winston is an independent psychological twisty movie about a man who receives a mysterious invitation to a private hotel on an island. When he arrives, the staff is inexplicably hostile. As the story unfolds, he begins to understand why…but we will leave that for another day.

Working with the writer/director, we discussed developing teaser graphics, merchandise for a crowd sourcing project, and social media posts. We read through the script and made notes on how we felt the film should look. With nothing storyboarded out yet, I developed a look book full of rich tones and images that matched the mystery of the story.
We landed on a rich gold, maroon, and emerald color scheme to emphasize the pageantry of the films location.
The font is Citrus Gothic which gives the text a slightly "off" look to it but does not reduce the legibility.
Paired with bleak modern yet antiqued imagery, the campaign imagery came together quickly.
Our big focus was a campaign around a piece of the script that we called "Save Swimmy". I developed t-shirts and stickers for this campaign. It was met with a lot of interest, and caused many people to stop us and ask what Swimmy was.
From there we started an instagram account and I developed a 12 post campaign that leaned on the imagery and phrases from the film. The campaign was successful in driving interest to their crowd funding site and other socials.
