I was asked to be the designer/director/media person for a charity concert promotion company. Held at various winery locations, we paired local charities with the event and did silent auctions to raise money. All proceeds would go to the charity. I was in charge of all design pieces from club cards to billboards. Flyers to social media.
Role
Creative Direction/Design
Deliverables
Club cards, stickers, billboards, signage, posters, social media, stage graphics, charity support, backstage passes, tickets
The production company held 6-8 concerts a season. We had everyone from Kris Kistofferson to Great White to English Beat. For each show I would create club cards, posters for the winery, banners for the winery, billboards, etc. We would receive a set of images from the band and any promotional stuff they wanted included and I would create designs for their review.
The visual direction was always exciting because each show was a new look. Materials would come in and I would go to work identifying fonts, colors, and any supporting imagery we might want to use like album cover art. I treated each act as their own promotional material, ensuring their core audience would recognize the act and be excited to come to the shows.
